Step-Down Transformer: 480-277-240/230 to 120Vac
|
The UV Resources Model 75Va transformer kit includes a foot-mount style transformer that is designed to operate one UV Resources, 117Vac UVC fixture from a 480, 277 or 240/230Vac power source. The kit contains everything the installer needs to obtain 117Vac power from a �" "Fast-On" type, male spade plug-equipped, 480, 277 or 240/230Vac power source.
The primary side of the transformer includes 3- �" "Fast-On" type, male spade plugs, two �" (female/male) "piggy-back" Fast-On connectors, and 1-�" male spade plugs Common. It also includes a self-resetting circuit breaker to protect the transformer and fixtures from excessive power. The secondary side is equipped with 2- 117Vac, �" female Fast-On connectors with 6" leads to power a UV Resources SEF-N fixture or any UV-C fixture requiring no more than 75Va of power.
One of the most convenient sources of 480, 277 or 240/230Vac power in HVAC equipment is the (always) hot side of the fan controller. The �" "Fast-On" type connectors on the transformer allow it to be easily to the fan controller spade plugs via the "piggy-back" connectors supplied. They allow both the transformers primary side and the power-in connectors of the fan controller to be connected at the same time. No additional wiring is required.

DOOR SAFETY / INTERLOCK SWITCH
|
UV Resource recommends that all access doors/panels to areas where UV-C is
applied be secured with a safety interlock switch. The switch is a 'normal
open' switch that is depressed when the door is closed, energizing the UV-C
system.

STATIONARY RADIOMETER
|
Radiometers are used to monitor UV energy emitted from UV-C lamps. The
Stationary Radiometer us a relative indicator of the UV output of fixtures
mounted in an HVAC system. Over the lifetime of a UV-C lamp (9000 hours or 1
year) UV-C output decreases. The Stationary Radiometer provides feedback to the
user on the status of the UV lamps.
