RLM Fixturing and lamp is factory assembled and tested. They consist of
a power supply, UV-C resistant wire loom, lamp connector, lamp clasps, and
lamp. They are designed and constructed to withstand HVACR environments, and
are UL/CUL.
Power Supply is an electronic, rapid-start, high power factor type with
overload and end-of-lamp-life protection. It's rated as a Type 1 outdoor unit
that can operate from 0-70C with a sound rating of A. A/C input is 120 or
240Vac (+/-10%), 50-60 Hz.
Wire Loom consists of 4- 18 AWG, solid copper wires sheathed in a UV-C
resilient FEP cladding that precludes deterioration. It is of sufficient length
to allow lamp connection of up to three (3) feet away. It is equipped with a
female Circline connector to facilitate fitment to 4-pin single-ended lamps.
Lamp is a low-pressure, high-output, T5 diameter, four-pin single ended
type that emits short-wave UV-C of predominantly 253.7 nm. Each lamp is coated
to increase useful life and to filter out the ozone producing wave-length of
185 nm. Each lamp has no more than 8 milligrams of mercury and produces the
specified output at 500 fpm in temperatures of 1-70C. They provide a lamp life
of 9000 hours with no more than a 20% output loss at the lamps end-of-life.
Lamp Clasps are corrosion resistant and are permanently or magnetically
affixed to the interior of the intended equipment, to properly locate and hold
the specified low-pressure UV-C Lamp.
Fluence in the specified amounts of UV-C results from the necessary
number of lamps, of sufficient length, installed in such a manner to provide an
equal distribution of energy.
