UVC Lamps are coated with a protective plastic sleeve from end to end. If dropped or broken, glass fragments and mercury remain safely contained. The sleeving is also designed to prevent moisture intrusion for use in wash down areas. This special sleeving is available for the full line of Steril- Aire's multi-patented germicidal UVC Emitters providing protection and convenience. UVC is scientifically proven to disrupt the DNA or RNA structure of viruses, bacteria, mold, and yeast and has been approved for use by the FDA and USDA in food facilities.
