FIXTURE is factory-assembled and tested. It has a powder coated steel housing, 3 knock-outs for wiring ease, multiple access points, a 12V safety switch for up to six (6) HVAC access points, lamp/power supply indicator, M12 Lamp Connector cable, IP67 waterproof lamp connector, Fixture Framing, quick slip lamp holder, and UV-C lamps.
HOUSING is constructed of 16ga powder-coated steel. They are designed to facilitate NEC-style power supply installations inside or outside of plenums. The Housing accommodates the required number of power supplies while protecting against electrical shock and moisture incursion, includes M12 lamp Wiring Cable connection points. NEMA 4 Housing option available.
POWER SUPPLY is a waterproof, Type 1, outdoor, high-power factor, electronic rapid-start type with overload and end-of-lamp-life circuit protection that maximizes lamp radiance, life, and system reliability at temperatures of 33 A°F to 170 A°F. Input: 120-277VAC, 50/60 Hz, with a sound rating of A. The power supply can ensure a minimum of 9000 hours of lamp life, with 85% of its initial output at the end of the lamp's useful life. The power supply is protected against “end of lamp life” conditions.
INTERLOCK SAFETY SWITCH ' Each fixture housing comes equipped with a UL listed 12V Contact Controller to interlock UV-C lamp system operation with the air-handling unit and up to six (6) access doors with magnetic or other type reed switch(es). When an access door or panel is opened or removed the UV-C lamp system is de-energized.
IP67 LAMP CONNECTOR CABLE is UL/CUL listed, 4-pin Single-Ended (SE) type capable of accommodating a 4 pin single-ended lamp. The IP67 Lamp Plug is constructed of UV resistant materials and designed to connect the lamp to the Lamp Plug creating a water-tight connection to protect against electrical shock, moisture and separation. It includes a four (4) foot cable with an M12 connector.
WIRING CABLES extension options of 5', 10' and 20' lengths and include M12 male and female connectors. Cables can be combined to be of sufficient length to facilitate lamp connection to a remotely located power supply. The cable shall be capable of carrying the striking and operational voltage required to properly energize and maintain the UV-C Lamp.
LAMP AND BALLAST MONITORING supplies continuous monitoring sensor that provides a direct on/off LED display, and a 0V-5V on/off signal, as an indicator to a building management system that lamp(s)/power supply(s) is/are operational. Optional remote monitor(s) can be installed outside the plenum in a clear covered NEMA-4 enclosure to directly/ remotely monitor power supply with the option for a single signal to the building management system.
INSTALLATION KIT Adjustable extruded aluminum vertical supports for installation of UV-C fixture accommodating varying plenum heights. Kit includes all necessary components to affix vertical supports to the plenum ceiling and will have an adjustable stainless-steel threaded stud and a nylon leveling foot.
LAMPS are non-proprietary, single ended, very high output, hot cathode, T5, 4 pin, base types that produce broadband UV-C at 254 nm and produce the specified output at any airflow velocity and temperatures of 33 A°F to 170 A°F. They are sleeved with EncapsuLamp™ (FEP) for protection in case of accidental breakage and are non-ozone producing types. The minimum useful lamp life is 9,000 hours, with no less than 85% of original output, depending on conditions.
SAFETY ' UV-C system On/Off toggle switch(s) is installed on the exterior of all UV-C plenums next to the plenum access door. UV-C warning signs/labels are to be installed on all UV-C access points to ensure that the UV-C fixtures are de-energized so personnel are cautioned before any access point is opened.
Independent Testing ' All UV-C components are tested and labeled to UL ABQK.
