Learn why our market-leading germicidal UV solutions are the brand of choice for HVAC professionals
EncapsuLamp™ is a UV lamp sleeving technology that protects HVAC technicians from residual gas, mercury and glass should an accidental lamp break occur. The FEP lamp encapsulation process eliminates concern over oily fingerprints and assists in insulating UV-C lamps from ”wind chill” in moving airstreams. In demanding operating conditions of low temperatures and high velocities, this insulation increases lamp output and performance. EncapsuLamp offers a high level of protection against breakage versus a “bare” lamp and is a perfect solution where broken lamp debris could be particularly troublesome in critical applications such as pharmaceutical and food processing plants, as well as hospitals and nursing homes, etc.
EncapsuLamp protection comes standard on lamps shipped with the RLM Xtreme and SLX and DLX fixtures.

Traditional UV lamps operating in the 253.7nm germicidal wavelength CANNOT generate ozone, as ozone can only be produced below 200nm, specifically at 185nm. Beyond sheer physics, most UV lamps—including those purchased from UV Resources—are made using doped glass, which blocks the 185nm wavelength from escaping. Ironically, the UV light will destroy ozone, by breaking the third oxygen atom attachment in the ozone molecule and converting it back to oxygen.

Our exclusive LampClamp system compresses the lamp plug and socket together to provide a watertight seal and eliminate lamp-pin corrosion and electrical “shorts” that routinely cause lamp and/or power supply failures. The LampClamp mechanism uses a thermoplastic compression nut and flexible flutes to firmly encase and secure all lamps.
Our unique Dual LampHolster eliminates the need to install lamps end-to-end, which often requires purchasing a variety of lamp lengths. Instead, most applications can be now met using one or two standard UV lamp lengths with a center-mounted LampHolster, where UV lamps “slip-in” place, so that they overlap one another in a scissor-like fashion. This overlapping configuration provides for more “usable” UV energy and 360-degree irradiance to maximize performance.
All of our fixtures feature plug-and-play wiring that streamlines and creates an error-proof method of fixture row assembly. In addition, our integrated plug-and-play X-Box™ remote power supplies and lamps are electronically matched to provide the highest output and longest life expectancy.
The National Electrical Manufacturer Association (NEMA) uses a standard rating system that defines the types of environmental conditions that an electrical enclosure can withstand:
Unlike some manufacturers who use expensive proprietary or custom lamp ends, UV Resources uses industry-standard lamp pin configurations and sockets thus making them more affordable and widely available.
Our products meet applicable UL/CUL and CSA related safety standards. Specifically:
UV Resources offers extended base lamps for our duct mounted X-Plus UV fixture. Extended base lamps are designed to maximize lamp strength, UV and heat resistance. These lamps are constructed using a 2-inch ceramic base fitted with a longer-reach filament, allowing the lamp—and, most importantly, the filament—to extend beyond the air handler’s insulation or a double-wall plenum and into the airstream for improved lamp performance and life. This is important because the improper placement of the filament—within the insulation and/or plenum wall materials—can allow heat to reflect back onto the filament, raising its temperature to levels that are detrimental to lamp performance and operational life.
